A couple of videos uploaded by Qualcmm seek to show you the abilities of their newer offerings to mobile devices. These videos seek to highlight the specific aspect of Qualcomm’s latest dual-core Snapdragon and second gen. single core offerings.
The new MSM8660 dual-core Snapdragon paired with the Adreno 220, which is said to have more than twice the performance capabilities of the current Adreno 205, is outlined above streaming 1080p video at 30fps.
While the first video seeks to show us what we have to look forward to this one shows off the current line of processors than are readily available from Qualcomm. In this video the HTML5 video quality of the second generation Snapdragon is shown off by streaming a HTML5 video via a web page. Qualcomm has pitted there single-core second gen processor against a competing dual-core processor and the results point out how much smoother the Flash video playback is on the Snapdragon than on the other.
