ViewSonic has finally announced pricing and availability of their ViewPad 7 which runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) and their dual-booting Android 1.6/Windows 7. While the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available in the states in the next couple of weeks, ViewSonic has pegged the ViewPad 7 to be available in late Q4 2010 for an ESP of $479.
Features of the ViewPad 7 include:
- Android 2.2
- 7-inch 800×480 WVGA LCD display
- 802.11 b/g
- Bluetooth connectivity
- 3-megapixel, auto focus camera in the rear and a 0.3 megapixel camera in the front
- 512MB of memory
- expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD port
ViewSonic isn’t limiting themselves to just the 7-inch form factor as the ViewPad 10 will be come in a 10-inch form factor and will dual-boot Android and Windows 7 and unfortunately will only run Android 1.6 versus Android 2.2 which we’ll find on the ViewPad 7.

- Android 1.6/Windows 7
- 10-inch 1024×600 LED capacitive touchscreen
- Intel Atom 1.66GHz processor
- 1GB of memory
- 16GB SSD hard drive and expandable micro SD slot
- 1.3-megapixel webcam with built-in microphone
- Q1 2011 for an ESP of $629
