ViewSonic Shows Off Its G Tablet, Available in October

The ViewSonic ViewPad officially debuted at IFA and while it is similar in appearance to ViewSonic’s G tablet, the latter offers a little more under the hood. The G tablet will come in a 10-inch form factor and rocks the following specs:

  • Android 2.2
  • NVIDIA’s Tegra 2
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 1024 x 600 resolution panel
  • USB
  • HDMI
  • 802.11n WiFi
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • 16GB of storage
  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • 9.96- x 6.5- x 0.5-inches

The tablet is expected to hit stores sometime in October for a retail price of $529 and it’s looking to be available from retailers like Sam’s Club, K-Mart, Sears and other mass retailers. ViewSonic has stated that this device will ship with an HDMI cable. The tablet is also reported to run 1080p HD media and in the video below, you’ll see this doesn’t look too shabby.
