One thing, of many, that T-Mobile has done right was offer a myriad of streaming music services on their network that won’t count against your monthly data allotments. That simple offer easily swayed customers to the network who love to listen to tunes at work, school or out and about but can’t due to data limits. Who really wants to pay monthly for a streaming service to only have to double their cellphone bills to use it? Virgin Mobile is following suite today with the announcement of 3 streaming music services being excluded from your pre-paid data caps.
Among the services we have iHeartRadio, Pandora and Slacker Radio. They don’t mention that others will be added at a later date, but I can’t imagine that they aren’t working out additional services.
“The launch of our new plans with limitless music demonstrates Virgin Mobile’s continued commitment to consumers of offering innovative offers that provide value and a unique experience,†said Angela Rittgers, vice president-Virgin Mobile USA.
The addition of the unlimited music streaming from the mentioned providers is available o all plans with Virgin that are $35 a month and up. The basic $35 plan gives you just 1GB of data combined with unlimited calls and texts.
