Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has launched the Vivo V5 Plus smartphone in India. The device was announced a few days ago in China, and was also confirmed to launch in other markets. The selling point of the Vivo V5 Plus is its dual-front camera setup. It also has 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 625 processor.
Vivo V5 Plus: Specifications
The Vivo V5 Plus features a 5.5-inch Full HD display that has a 2.5D curved glass panel on top of it. In addition to that, it also sports metal body and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 that is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. There is also a front-facing fingerprint sensor embedded into its home button.
In the imaging department, the Vivo V5 Plus features a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, an LED flash, and 1080p video recording. It has phase-detection autofocus and f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera setup sports a dual camera sensors, including one with a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor (1/2.3-inch) combined with depth sensing 8-megapixel sensor. The 20MP camera has f/2.0 aperture and 5p lens. Connectivity wise, the smartphone has 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Vivo V5 Plus uses a 3,160mAh battery that has fast charging support.
Vivo V5 Plus: Price
The Vivo V5 Plus is priced at INR 27,980 ($410) in India. It will be available for purchase starting February 1 in the country. At this price, it competes with the likes of OnePlus 3T and the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro.
