Which do you prefer: Android KitKat or Android Lollipop soft keys?

Over a month ago, I wrote a post saying that the Android Lollipop soft keys had finally arrived on the LG G3 and was quite happy that these had caught up with the software running on the device. However, it appears from the torrent of comments that I was perhaps alone in this regard as plenty of people have said that the Android Lollipop soft keys are too abstract and far too unintuitive compared to the older pre-Android Lollipop soft keys. So I thought I’d ask the wider community - which do you prefer: Android KitKat or Android Lollipop soft keys? For clarity, I am referring to the pre-Android Lollipop soft keys as Android KitKat.

Whether you’re a long-time Android user or new to the ecosystem, the new soft keys are definitely a little different – abandoning any kind of explicit symbolism, the Android Lollipop soft keys opt for abstract, simplistic shapes to get their message across, which may or may not be your cup of tea. This is all part of Google’s overhaul to the Android operating system as it employs a different design language across everything Android related.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you want to elaborate on your vote for either Android KitKat or Android Lollipop soft keys.
