Who needs to wait for Ice Cream Sandwich? Unlock your phone with your pretty face now!

As we all wait patiently for that day to come where we can all enjoy an Ice Cream Sandwich together, these developers keep on coming out with apps and themes to get us closer and closer to that ICS goodness we all are craving. Well the boys over atÂ ACM AppsÂ have developed an app similar to the face recognition unlock feature we all saw in the ICS demonstration. The app is called FaceLOCK. So make yourself pretty and lets scan that face of yours.

After you download this app, you will need to:

Â Click configure to get the configure page
Â Click save button and capture your face. This will automatically save your face. Note it may take time depending on your network bandwidth
Â You may click “Test” button to check the confidence level of your image
Â Once above done, click the “Next” button
Â Use slider to adjust sensitivity. Recommended value – Medium
Â Enter a 4 digit pin
Â Click “Save and Exit” button

Simple as that right? Now of course having a phone with a front facing camera is needed, but this will also work for those of us who haven’t had an upgrade in a while and are stuck with our rear facing camera. Kind of defeats the purpose though, but hey if your willing to fork over the 1.99 for it just to show off some awesomeness, then do it. It gets you closer to that tasty dessert that we all are yearning for.
