It seems like over the past 24 hours, Android hackers around the world are singin’ the tune,”Anything you can do, I can do better.” I also think companies like Sony Ericsson, HTC and Samsung should be looking to hire some of these geniuses. Yesterday was a big day, as far as rooting devices goes, as we learned about the Samsung Galaxy S, Google’s Nexus One (again), the HTC Aria, and the Sony Ericsson X10. While the news of these devices was spreading around the world, the HTC Evo was under the knife as well while hackers were squeezing out every FPS (Frames Per Second) they could get. HTC set a cap on the Evo at 30 FPS and this was a problem for some people. Not anymore, a team over at XDA have the Evo at an average of 54 FPS. Here’s proof below.
54 FPS Evo Part I
Part II
The cap is in the Kernel itself, therefore the hardware is not being limited and once HTC releases the Kernel source devs will have an easier method to achieve this 54 FPS maybe more.
