Yeah, I know I am a bit of an Adobe nut – especially when it comes to Adobe Flash and its multimedia potential in the Android space. But I am thinking Google may come out swinging tomorrow at their press conference with applications built with Flash to further differentiate itself from other mobile systems, especially Apple.
Think about it – gaming, video, video conferencing, etc. Now that Froyo has officially been released with Flash Player 10.1, what better time to talk about this, especially in light of rumors about upgrades to Android Market?
Ok note to self – calm down. Deep breath. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breath in. Breathe out. OK, much better.
Seriously though, they can tie the updates to the Android Market with new additions spearheaded by Flash developers. Google can then say, “Hey, we’re open source, and we care about our customers and our developers. Create applications for us using Flash (or just about any other tool you’d like – we don’t care) and help us make the Android market the best there is. We value your input.”
Anyway, again, I hope Google hits home again what a great opportunity there is with Flash being on the Android OS and why we’re all going to benefit from it.
Here’s hoping I’m right.
