Xiaomi has been releasing a lot of smartphones lately, something that it has not done earlier. The company’s smartphones have not only maintained Xiaomi’s standard in China, but the Redmi Note 3 went on to become the best-selling smartphone in India in the online segment. Now, a new smartphone dubbed as Xiaomi Mi5c has been spotted online, showcasing its fingerprint sensor and a premium design.
The Xiaomi Mi5c is expected to feature with 5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display covered by a 2.5D curved glass panel. In the hardware department, it is using a 2.2GHz octa-core Mediatek processor. The SoC is paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There might be a variant of 32GB storage as well. It runs MIUI 8, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and that is disappointing.
The fingerprint sensor on the smartphone is embedded into the Mi5c’s home button. The design of the smartphone looks slightly different when compared to the Mi 5, thanks to its full-metal back. From the images we still can’t confirm whether it is a final design or just a prototype. Xiaomi has turned towards a brushed metal design with its Mi5s and Mi5s Plus smartphones.
