Remember that post last week where we mentioned XOLO was planning on releasing the “fastest phone ever”? Well looks like this is it. The X1000 was just announced today, and well, I guess since it will be rocking a 2 GHZ Intel Atom processor, they think it is going to be the faster phone ever. The other specs are pretty weak:
- 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 at 314ppi) display
- 8 megapixel rear-facing camera
- 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
- 1GB of RAM
- 8GB of internal storage
- Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich
See what I mean? If XOLO plans on making any kind of dent in the mobile phone market, they need to up the ante on these specs. Just because they might be one of the first to throw in a 2 GHZ engine, doesn’t mean it will sell. They do, however, mention that it will have “Hyper Threading Technology”, which is suppose to heightened the overall experience. Hopefully it does, and there is an edge-to-edge display on it, so maybe it has something to offer. Let us know what you guys think.
