$15 a Month Unlimited US Roaming Add-on Coming for WIND Mobile

Good news coming for those Canadians that use WIND Mobile as their provider. The mobile carrier will soon offer a $15 a month add-on feature that will give subscribers unlimited data, text and calls across the border here in the US while visiting.

With numbers from 2012 pullin in some 1.9 million overnight trips from Canadians to the US for an overnight stay, this is certainly going to be a nice touch for travelers. The new add-on feature is scheduled to be available to subscribers of WIND Mobile beginning February 3rd. Details on who WIND has set up the roaming agreements with haven’t been outlined just yet, but they say they have made deals with several large US based carriers. Anyone interested will be able to add the feature and remove it at will with out any plan requirements to be in place.

Consumers will be able to use their smartphone however they like, without limits: check maps if they get lost; update Facebook and Twitter; send photos of their trip; check the local weather – and all for only $15 a month. It is great to see so many carriers and companies finally getting on board with international travel.
