Beloved by twitterati and powerusers alike, 3 versions of Tweetdeck will be shutting down on May 7th.
The Android, iPhone, and AdobeAIR versions will no longer be available in their respective app stores, and all existing installations will lose functionality and Facebook integration.
This is so the team can “focus our development efforts on our modern, web-based versions of TweetDeck” Â and also because Twitter (which owns Tweetdeck), will be retiring version 1.0 of their API, which the soon to be deceased apps rely on for functionality.
The Chrome App will still be available, so users can still get their Twitter fix in a familiar format, just not on mobile anymore.  It really is a shame to see yet another great mobile Twitter app go the way of the dodo.
