Sony has begun sending out updates to the Sony Xperia P, the Sony Xperia Go, and the Sony Xperia E Dual to bring them up to Android 4.1. Â The updates are coming out Over-The-Air with the exception of the Xperia Go, which will need to be connected to the PC Companion or Bridge for Mac.
As well as the usual features of Android 4.1, Sony is bringing an updated launcher with new widgets, extra panes, updates to the Walkman, Album, and Movies apps, improvements to the app drawer, and a new battery STAMINA mode.
The updates will be staggered, meaning some will have to wait a little longer than others to get their update, but Sony will be speeding up the process as time goes by.
Sony has also promised Android 4.1 updates for the Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia Ion and Xperia Acro S, which should start seeing updates around the end of May.
After announcing the rollout of the AOSP for Xperia Z Project, and now these device updates, it really seems like Sony is trying hard to keep their fans happy, which can only be a good thing!
