So it appears that Google has joined the ranks of other large corporates and started applying muscle to the Android developer community. Cyanogen, one of the best Android developers to date has been asked to cease and desists his CyanogenMOD due to his releasing some of the apps that are not open.
The rumor is that Cyanogen is trying to open a dialog with Google in an attempt to work things out. It sounds like the whole problem is due to his releasing some closed Google apps. Maybe for his early release of the new Android Market.
