There is still no confirmed release date for the Android-powered Archos 7 Tablet, but at least they’ve decided on the month. This 7″ resistive touch screen is going to be priced starting at a very reasonable $200.
The Archos 7 does have a lot going for it.  800 X 600 high-definition screen,  Wi-Fi allows for easy connection to a home network, while the built-in USB connection makes transferring files  simple. A fully charged battery gives up to 7 hours of video playback and up to 44 hours of music from a full battery charge.
Pre-installed apps include: eBuddy, Aldiko, and DailyPaper. The Archos LibStore will supply other apps. That’s right, no Android Market. Oh and Archos will be running Android 1.6.
