Huawei Ascend P6 To Arrive In Australia July 15th

huawei ascend p6There are thick phones and thin phones. And then there’s the Huawei Ascend P6. The world’s “slimmest” smartphone is arriving on Australian shores July 15th, just weeks after its release and subsequent roll-out in China last month. Sporting a 4.7-inch screen, quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and running Android 4.2.2 with Emotion UI, the Ascend P6 is a great option in the category increasingly being called the “mini” section. Regardless of its screen size, the Ascend P6, which measures just 6.18mm wide, will have claim to the “slimmest smartphone” for the foreseeable future.

As well as all that, the Ascend P6 will also be packing a 2,000mAh battery, a 8MP rear facing camera and 5MP front facing camera, a great feature for those of the “selfie” persuasion. The Ascend P6 will be available from JB Hi-Fi and Dick Smith starting July 15th for $499 AUD and is available in black or white (sadly no pink).

With a rumoured Google Edition Ascend P6 in the works as well, it looks like Huawei is starting to make great strides in the global smartphone market. Who’s interested in picking up a Huawei Ascend P6 when it drops? Let us know if you are in the comments.
