Vine for Android was recently updated, almost a week after the updates were introduced to iOS. New tools, one-tap sharing and a widget were some of the new additions to the 6-second video service. Users can now submit or browse channels in the Explore panel. New channels include Comedy, Art & Experimental, Cats, Dogs, Family, Beauty & Fashion, Food, Health & Fitness, Nature, Music, News & Politics, Special FX, Sports, Urban and Weird.
Updated video tools include focus functions, a grid option, and a ghost tool for overlaying clips. “Revining” clips can be shared by simply tapping on a video. The update also allows you to use a “Fast Capture Widget,” not seen in the iOS update, allowing for instant recording from the home screen as well as a new mute button in the menu and performance improvements.
The update is now live in the Google Play Store, or hit the Play Store link below if you want to pick it up.
