Today, Rovio announced that they will be releasing a follow up to their galactic hit, Angry Birds Star Wars. They went on their Twitter page to announce it to the world, then tweeted out the commercial for it, which you will find below.
New characters, story lines, new powers, and telepods have been added to the mix in this sequel. Telepods, being probably the biggest, new feature of the new game, give you the ability to use special Angry Birds Star Wars 2 figures as part of the game. You simply take your angry bird figure, set it on the telepod, then place it onto your device and a sensor reads what character it is and teleports it into the game. I believe a similar feature has been those Skylanders Giants games, or at least I think so since my nephew is a huge fan.
September 19th is when Rovio will release the sequel, and I am not sure when they will release the figures they have designed for the game. We will let you know that once we find out. Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think.
