Original Dungeon Keeper To Hit Android Devices Sometime This Northern Winter

dungeon keeperDungeon Keeper is a name that makes many knees weak in the gaming world, so it’s with great reverence that I write that EA and Mythic studio are teaming up to create a mobile reboot of the original Dungeon Keeper that will be coming to Android and iOS. The reboot will be looking to incorporate “an addictive mix of strategic building and tower defense” for the mobile platform, which is exactly what fans of the original game will want to hear.

For those of you who have not heard the name Dungeon Keeper before, the original Dungeon Keeper was release on PC in 1997 and was such a cult hit that it spawned a whole generation of games that used it as inspiration. According to EA’s release out of Gamescom, the game will be due out in the northern Winter.

Hopefully they keep most of the original game-play intact with updated graphics. Any Dungeon Keeper fans out there who are excited about this announcement? Share your evil glee with us in the comments.
