Nexus 7 LTE “Not yet certified for Verizon”, users can’t Activate

If you had hopes of running into your local Verizon Wireless and activate a recently received Nexus 7 LTE tablet, you might want to hold on just a minute. Apparently the N7 LTE is currently not allowed to be activated as a new line. If you happen to be coming from another tablet that has an already active LTE chip inside, you are just fine.

Seems Verizon support has been questioned and their answer is less than stellar.

This is not yet a device that is Verizon 4G LTE certified. We’ll let folks know when its certified.

We know they will get it certified and all the woes will soon end, but it is a bit frustrating for those that might be first time Nexus 7 owners who just want a little LTE data from Verizon.
