Unlocked International HTC One devices getting Android 4.3 Update

Just the other day we saw that the developer edition of the HTC One were getting a large, 514MB-ish, Android 4.3 update. Now it looks like the unlocked international HTC One is also getting the same treatment.

This update brings in improved low light photos, Bluetooth LE, OpenGL ES 3.0 support, Sense 5 enhancements and a whole lot more. We are sure many of you have been impatiently waiting to get your hands on this one. Of course it isn’t as exciting if the carrier branded version you are sporting was receiving it, however that isn’t too far away apparently.

As you can see from a tweet put out this morning by Jason Mackenzie, he mentions that “Carrier skus are coming, but will slightly miss 9/30.” Personally, if they are even off by just a week, that is still pretty darn good.

For those of you on an unlocked international version, head into Settings > About Phone > System Updates. We will keep our fingers crossed that you have it waiting for install.
