Google Wallet has been seeing a lot more love lately, particularly when carrier devices finally got access to the app in September. Today, the app saw an update which brings its version number to version 2.0-R33-v14, and with it brings a few nifty improvements as well. As for what’s new in this version:
What’s New
• Add a credit/debit card just by taking a picture. Both the number and expiration date will be captured automatically
• Use the Google Wallet Card to spend your Wallet Balance at millions of MasterCard® locations or withdraw cash at ATMs
• Minor bug fixes and performance improvements
While we expect bug fixes and improvements with every new version released, the ability to add a credit/debit card to your Google Wallet account simply by taking a picture of it is a really nice inclusion.
