Personally I look down upon Motorola in the smartphone business, they once dominated phones but times have changed. The Droid has certainly helped bring them back but they have had a few other phones flop like the Cliq and Backflip. The leaks of the high-end Xtreme/Shadow and Droid 2 are shaping up nice.
Now it looks like they might be taking a wise approach and pushing the limits on groundbreaking hardware like a 2GHz CPU. The best part is CEO Sanjay Jha says that its targeted for this year. Another executive had more to say, “incorporate everything that is technologically possible in a smartphone today.” That’s certainly a big promise, let’s hope they can fulfill it. Personally I hope Motorola climbs to the status they once were, after all competition is a good thing.
