Newly certified LG 5.5-inch Quad HD display must be for LG G3 Display

LG G3 DisplayWe’ve heard many rumours about the LG G3 over the last few days, but this piece of information definitely seems the most definitive. LG Display, LG‘s screen development unit, has received NEMKO certification of a 5.5-inch Quad HD resolution display it has been working on, which is a dead ringer for the LG G3 display. As you might expect, this means this display will have a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels which will result in 538 pixels per inch.

So far, we’ve only had suspected details about the LG G3, but the fact that it correlates with the 5.5-inch display that has been rumoured does definitely suggest the G3 is well on its way. Mass production of the display is said to kick in “shortly”, which is perfect considering the timing of the LG event on May 27th.
