Oppo‘s next biggest smartphone, the Oppo N3, is due for announcement on October 29th at an event scheduled in Singapore. For the longest time, we’ve been wondering what the device is actually going to look like, and finally, we have a genuinely good look at a Oppo N3 photo, straight from the horse’s mouth, no less. Oppo has posted a picture of the top half of the device on Weibo, and sure enough, we see the telltale outline of the swivel camera that we have been expecting. It’s hard to tell whether this is the aluminium lithium alloy version of the device or another rumoured variant, but the phone’s back appears to be dominated by plastic, as well as what appears to be leather lining the swivel camera.
That would definitely be an interesting design choice, and the stitching appears to be very prominent. Still, perhaps our eyesight is fading and this isn’t the case at all -Â 2 weeks is all we’ll have to wait to set this one straight. It’s impossible to tell how big the device is going to be from this photo, but it is alleged the device is going to come in at 5.9-inches again like its predecessor, the Oppo N1. A Snapdragon 805 and 3GB RAM wouldn’t be surprising either and the 13MP camera it put on the Oppo Find 7 seems all but confirmed. We can’t wait to see if Oppo has more goodies in store on the software side.
