‘Device Assist’ released by Google to help give quick support and tips to Nexus and select other device owners

It is app update Wednesday and sometimes Google gives us a little more than just some bug fixes and tweaks to our favorite apps. Sometimes they deliver a whole new app. That is what they have gone and done today with the release of the ‘Device Assist’ app to the Play Store. The new app is aimed at being your on device support center for quick access to live Google support. However, it is will also help proactively solve issue and provide you with various tips to give the best experience possible out of your device.

The app is free and will only take a few seconds to install. There is a catch though. The app is only compatible with US-based Nexus devices, Google Play Edition Devices, and Android One devices. All of which will need to be running Android 5.0  Lollipop. So, if your Nexus 5 is still running Android 4.4.4 KitKat, you are out of luck on installing this one.

Feel free to give it a download and give it a run if you meet the requirements.
