Flagship season is just heating up in 2015 and undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases of the year is the Samsung Galaxy S6. While we’ve heard all sorts of rumours regarding the device, nothing particularly solid has materialized, until today. As found on a user agent profile on Samsung‘s own website, a certain device with model number SM-G920A – expected to be the AT&T Galaxy S6 – has suggested that there will be a Quad HD display on the Samsung Galaxy S6.
This news doesn’t come as a complete shock as the mobile industry starts to gravitate to the new standard in display resolution, but what is unusual is that the user agent profile appears to say the SM-G920A is running a 32-bit ARM11 processor. It’s not unheard of for user agent profiles to get processor information wrong, and we’d certainly hope so as we’re expecting a 64-bit ARMv8 chip at the very least.
The Galaxy S6 figures to be one of Samsung’s most exciting releases in recent years as the Korean manufacturer scrambles to overcome the sales disappointment of the Galaxy S5. So disappointed was Samsung that they took the Galaxy S6 back to the drawing board, calling it “Project Zero“, so we’ll be excited to see what they come up with at MWC 2015.
