When Amazon announced Amazon Prime Now I was all excited. Just the thought of ordering something and getting in an hour, or two, later without laving to get it was awesome. It won’t do me any good in Oregon in a population of 55,000, but hey, I was happy for for the elite who could take advantage of it. When it first went live the selection was plenty large enough for most everyday things that we might need in a pinch. The 1 hour time line for delivery was limited to zip code 10001, but surround zips could still put in for a 2 hour delivery. Also not terrible.
As of today the whole island of Manhattan is granted the stupendous 1 hour delivery time frame. Redmondpie says the page still doesn’t reflect the changes, but if you put in your Manhattan zip it will clear for 1 hour delivery.
I don’t expect my little town to ever see the option for Amazon Prime Now 1 hour shipping, or even 2 hour, but Amazon will be expanding this service to other more profitable locations eventually.
