You might know MADFINGER Games better for Dead Trigger, Shadowgun or Samurai II. Back in November the game studio branched out a bit and created a virtual model building app called Monzo. It gives you the ability to purchase, build, paint, customize and showcase models right on your phone or tablet all without having to wait for glue and paint to dry. I took it for a spin at launch and found it to be rather relaxing to piece together something. Today MADFINGERÂ Games is releasing a new model to the collection, the MIR Space Station.
The MIR Space Station isn’t the only new addition to the MONZO app. They are adding in an Expert mode that takes away the tutorials and gives you access to all parts up front letting your follow the instructions and hunt for pieces. There is also a new “More about model” button that will deliver interesting information about the specific model at hand.
Probably the more interesting aspect of the update is that MONZO now works with Google Cardboard. The listing only states “A unique experience with brilliant 3D models with Google Cardboard.” I reached out to the company to check on what that really means. Unfortunately it just means you can view your completed models through Cardboard for a more 3D experience. While I was hoping that you could pick up pieces with the ring, or by looking at it for a few seconds. Still, it is one more little addition that is kind of cool.
If you haven’t checked out the app yet be sure to do so by picking it up in the Play Store below. It is free to install, but you will find models, special paints and stickers and things will cost a little real world green backs. For those that have it installed, grab the update and give it a run.
