If you’re after a smartphone with a big battery, even the largest batteries will only last you about 3 days. But of course, as with all things, if you’re going to do something, do it properly, which is what Oukitel – a relatively new manufacturer on the block – is planning to do. Rather than simply picking a number slightly larger than other manufacturers, Oukitel has decided that it wants to make a smartphone that has a battery capacity of 10,000mAh. “But how big would such a device be?” I hear you say – well, Oukitel has answered and it’s probably not as bad as you might think. As the images below show, the device (or at least its dummy) looks relatively normal – tank-like, but normal – though it’s not like we have another device to compare it with.
Even so, if you’re after long term smartphone battery life – we’re talking at least a week here – then Oukitel’s new phone might just do the trick. Although we don’t have any details about the phone apart from the fact it will run Android 5.1, Oukitel says the device will be released in a few months. We’ll be very interested to see what the end product looks like.
