Sprint Officially Announced the Sprint Epic 4G

Do you guys remember the Samsung Galaxy S Pro? It’s the device we recently saw with Sprint branding on it, and soon you will be able to see this device in Sprint’s stores. Today, Sprint came out and officially announced America’s second 4G capable handset, the Samsung Galaxy S pro; renamed the Sprint Epic 4G. Epic 4G is a high-end device with Android 2.1 and Samsung UI, with some extra mind blowing features. The smartphone packs a slideout QWERTY keyboard, blazing fast Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, 4″ Super AMOLED touchscreen display, 5 MP Camera with LED Flash, which is capable to record video at 720p, it also have a front facing VGA Camera for Video calls, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi capability, 1500 mAh battery, and not to mention the WiMax radios. The Epic 4G is roughly 1/2 inch shorter and 3/8inch narrower than the HTC Evo 4G. No doubt about that its really an Epic device. Sprint didn’t give any word on the release date and price, but you can probably expect the release of the Epic 4G in the upcoming month, and I believe that the price will be similar to the EVO 4G.
