Gameloft’s next big title is Sniper Fury

Gaming on our mobile devices is a very lucrative and addicting business. Gameloft is a solid competitor when it comes to bringing titles out that draw crowds. Their portfolio crosses to just about any genre that your heart desires, and to some you didn’t even know you liked. On Friday they announced another title that will be launching soon entitled Sniper Fury.

The sniper only genre isn’t a new one by any means, but solid sniper targeted games that are worth the time and/or money are few and far between. I have played a number of them and Hitman: Sniper from Square Enix has been my personal favorite to date. Not to say there aren’t others out there worth play as I haven’t played them all. Gameloft doesn’t allude to much with the announcement other than it is coming and attached a small teaser trailer to watch.

They do let us know that Sniper Fury uses the latest rendering based technology that was behind Modern Combat 5: Blackout. Anyone that has played that title knows it looked pretty amazing. On the landing page for the game they are offering up additional goodies for those who pre-register and get others involved. Most of which seem like they will turn out to be in-app purchasable options like:

• 5 x SPOTTER

  Handheld device, developed from secret bio-radar technology. Identifies and localizes all enemies, human or mechanical, within firing radius. It detects even the slightest of movements, so be sure not to get startled by local wildlife.

  5 x SLOW TIME

  Amazing medical stimulant that was recently developed in Western Europe. Grants the human body supernatural reaction and movement speed. Perception will tell you that time has stopped. Vital advantage when facing deadly enemies.

  5 x PIERCING BULLET

  This chemical-warhead rifle ammo enables the penetration of all armor types. The corrosive tip causes damage that’s unprecedented for a weapon classed as a rifle. This is the scientifically guaranteed “target neutralizer.”
