We have heard some stories about people and their handsets, but this is one of the best we’ve heard in a while. It seems the user tyler0630, from the Android Central Forums, was out at a beach bonfire and somehow his Droid Incredible had fallen out of his pocket while prepping for the fire. Unaware of his missing device, the fire was started and the party carried on. Ten minutes later he heard a ringing from the flames, he ripped through the fire and found his device smoldering in the intense heat with the screen face down in the sand. He pulled the battery out and let it cool. After an hour, he put the battery back in and powered up his Droid Incredible and it booted first attempt and he was making calls, browsing the web etc…
He took photos of his device, check them out!
We’re glad you got your device running again, maybe HTC will replace it. After July 27th of course.
