Just because you may be a phone geek, doesn’t mean you don’t like the great outdoors or sports. Fantasy Football Leagues have been around for quite some time. I have a lot of friends that are always trash talking it up to each other. Previous attempts to bring an application to the Android platform have been less than appetizing in the past, and most of them have become obsolete. With the new football season fast approaching, there maybe a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Yahoo! has posted over at Yahoo! Sports, that there is an Android app coming soon. With features to include :
- Set your roster from your Android device.
- Get real-time fantasy score updates
- Add and drop players
I’m sure there will be many more features included inside the application. Since it has yet to be launched, I can’t give you any more information then is available to me. I would think the application should become available just prior to the draft picks for this years season. With 160,000 Android phones being activated daily, I can’t imagine this application slipping through the cracks.
So for all you Fantasy Football fans out there, keep an eye on Yahoo! Sports and the market for the lsunch. I’d hate to see you lose points because you couldn’t make it to a PC in time to change up your roster.
