Getting Snap Happy With Your Android

As it’s been mentioned before, the new generation of smartphones are coming built with better and better cameras. While it’s highly unlikely an Android device can ever take the place of a DSLR,  as a daily point and shoot device, Android  can already meet that need and then some.

While the stock camera apps are generally pretty good, there are several apps on the market to help you make the most of your shooting; an advantage you won’t be able to find on any standard digital camera.

Camera Pro

If you want more options for your basic shooting, why not try Camera Pro? Camera Pro can be set as the default camera app and comes with some useful features such as silenced shooting, 4x zoom, white balance, grid lines, contrast/brightness, timer, and location embedding to name a few. Camera Pro is €1.99.

FXCamera

If you’re looking to add a little something extra to your photos, there are several camera emulators available. A camera emulator will process a photo to mimic the effect one would get if they were shooting with the camera in question. An example of this would be the Polaroid effect or shooting with a fisheye lens. FXCamera is free.

Camera 360

If your tastes change with the wind, then Camera 360 may be for you. In addition to a fully loaded normal camera, Camera 360 has a full range of emulators and fun effect features. It’s the best of both worlds. Camera 360 is available in both free and paid versions.
