A rumor arrived at my door (or twitter account)Â about Android 2.0 (Eclair) in the works for the HTC Dream / T-Mobile G1. Â This morning I received a tweet from a guy who said that the G1, soon to be released in Austria is going to be shipped with Android 2.0 (Eclair) from day one.
If this is true then it sounds like Google or HTC have already confirmed that they can squeeze the new release into the tiny memory of the HTC Dream / T-Mobile G1.
Great news for all of us G1 owners.  I’ve been patiently waiting for a  Rogers update for Android 1.6 (Donut) but maybe they are haven’t released an update yet as they are waiting for Android 2.0 (Eclair).  One can only hope.Â
