Latest Verizon Roadmap Leak Adds More Devices

Just when you think Verizon’s future couldn’t be any brighter, it seems that Phone Arena has stumbled upon some new information that we can add to the previously leaked Verizon roadmap that we reported earlier in the month. Let’s get down to business in chronological order shall we?

  • First up is the Android-powered Motorola Citrus WX445 which is rumored to be an entry-level device that could be light on the wallet and unfortunately light on the specs, as well.
  • The Samsung Fascinate, Verizon’s Galaxy S variant, was originally rumored for a September launch, but Phone Arena’s source suggests that the device will be hitting land in October.
  • The mid-end Samsung Continuum I400 and the QWERTY based low-end Samsung Gem hopes to grace the shelves of Big Red, although previous rumors suggest the Gem to be launching in early September.
  • Verizon may squeeze out some more Android devices this October with the Motorola XT610 which is said to rockin’ a display similarly sized to the Motorola Droid X. Don’t get too excited, the XT610 is rumored to be a mid-end device compared to the high-end DX.
  • It looks like the previous Motorola A957 Droid Pro has added a new name, the Motorola “Sick.”
  • Come November, Verizon may be adding two eReaders and two tablets to their inventory, as new information suggests that the enTourage eDGe  and the enTourage Pocket will be listed under eReaders and the Motorola MZ600 (Stingray) and the Samsung I800 can be classified under tablets.
  • Also shooting for a November release, the HTC Merge is rumored to be equipped with a 10-MP camera and sporting a 1GHz+ processor.

If you add this information to the previously leaked Verizon roadmap, we could have an amazing future ahead of us. If one carrier is following this path, I’m sure the other carriers have something up their sleeves as well.
