The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 has just passed through the FCC and we’re learning now that this device could be sold “unlocked” for less than $300 before the carrier subsidizes the device. Judging by the previous Xperia X10 launch, this device could be headed to AT&T, but no official word has been shared. A device priced under $300 without a contract usually means it will not be the smartphone of our dreams, but still could be decent nonetheless.
Features of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 include:
- 3-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480×320
- 3.2-megapixel camera
- 600MHz processor
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- Android 1.6
Pricing and availability have not yet been released, but we’ll be sure to keep interested parties informed. Make sure you are following AndroidStory on Twitter and on Facebook make sure that you click the “Like” button.
