Verizon has officially announced pre-paid data plans for 3G devices which include the Droid series devices. You can grab an unlimited data plan, which is contract-free, for just $30/mo. and for feature phones just $10/mo. for 25MB data.
These new data offerings will help our prepaid customers experience the full breadth of Verizon Wireless’ robust device portfolio and the many engaging, informative and helpful applications that depend on a data plan,” said Jim Sullivan, director of marketing for Verizon Wireless.  “Our prepaid customers will now have the freedom to enjoy all of the capabilities that these phones have to offer, while controlling costs and without being tied to a contract.
All Android devices are eligible for their pre-paid plans which include:
- Motorola Droid 2
- Motorola Droid X
- HTC Droid Incredible
- HTC Droid Eris
- Motorola Droid
- Motorola Devour
- LG Ally
As we are awaiting the arrival of the Samsung Fascinate, we would assume this device would make the list as well, considering the recently launched Droid 2. The current pre-paid plans are available today at Verizon locations, but will become available online on September 28th. Verizon will not be subsidizing the devices as they do not come with a new contract, but the no contract unlimited data for $30/mo. is still a pretty sweet deal.
Head to your local Verizon store today and take advantage of this new offer. Full press release located HERE.
