It looks like the recently launched Samsung Fascinate will be the first U.S. variant of the Galaxy S to come in a color other than black. Starting October 24th, the Fascinate will be following the path of the HTC Evo 4G and will be getting its own exclusive white backing. Along with the Samsung Fascinate, AT&T’s Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be joining in on the color changing action as well with an all white version.
Currently Best Buy is the only vendor getting the exclusive colors here in the US, while we hope that more vendors will pick up on it offering a little variety in the mix. Best Buy will also start selling the Dell Streak in stores which is on AT&T and so we’re clear, the Dell Streak will not be featuring a white backplate.
Pricing for the above devices are as follows:
- Verizon – White Samsung Fascinate – $150 on contract
- AT&T – White Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 -$100 on contract
- AT&T – HTC Surround (Windows Phone 7) – $200 on contract
- AT&T – Dell Streak – $300 on contract
