The full version of Angry Birds is now available for free on Getjar and being just the highly anticipated game that it is, Getjar’s servers just can’t keep up. If you head over to Getjar and try and download the .apk, after you enter your device you’ll be prompted the following message.
“Dear visitors, GetJar website is experiencing temporary technical problems due to a totally undexpected high demand for the new free game Angry Birds. Please visit the mobile site at http://m.getjar.com with your Android phone to get the game. We sincerely app-ologize for the problems. GetJar team”
Here is a mirror for you as well as a mobile link if browsing with your device for you Angry Birds fans that just can’t wait on Getjar an longer to fix their servers. Rovio, the developers of Angry Birds, have opted to use Getjar for downloading the application rather than tossing it on the Android Market. Hopefully, the Getjar servers will be back up momentarily and that Rovio learns from this experience and hopefully finds a better way to launch apps in the future.
*Update* – Angry Birds is now available in the Android Market
