When it comes to T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network, T-Mobile has been quiet with a “4G” branding around almost like it’s something better and with 21Mbps it obviously is, but from a marketing standpoint it makes sense that you would want that name attached. We are starting to see now that T-Mobile has been throwing 4G around a little more loosely on T-Mobile.com and it could even be hitting their upcoming myTouch, which makes it relate to the competition like the HTC Evo 4G and Samsung Epic 4G, but T-Mobile myTouch 4G?
TMOnews has reported from their internal ninjas that this device will mostly likely be sporting the “4G” tag at launch and if you’ve seen the latest T-Mobile G2 commercial from HTC, you’ll notice the obvious 4G tag at the :12 second mark of the video below.
Since 4G is the name everyone knows, it’s clear why T-Mobile would want to give the myTouch that “4G” tag. While this is all just speculation, things are adding up to help our case. We’ll just have to see as the device nears launch in November. What do you all think of the name myTouch 4G?
