While a November 11th launch looked like a sure date for the Motorola Droid 2 Global to hit shelves, according to a leaked Verizon document from showing this world roaming device as hitting shelves November 29th.
The Motorola Droid 2 Global will soon be launching in two colors Dark Sapphire and Winter White and is replacing the short-lived Droid 2. While we have yet to see any official announcement from Verizon about the Motorola Droid 2 Global, we think it’s safe to say that a November 29th launch seems legit.
There is some good news to this document as it states that the device will launch in All Channels via Direct Fulfillment on November 9th. This means that you could walk in to any Verizon store and have a rep order you a device starting tomorrow, but if you’re one of those customers that like to see the device “in-hand,” you’re going to have to wait until the 29th launch.
Features of the Motorola Droid 2 Global include:
- Android 2.2
- Motoblur UI
- 1.2GHz processor
- Dark Sapphire and Winter White color options
- 5MP camera with dual LED flash
- Dual band CDMA and Quad band GSM
- Physical keyboard plus Swype
- 8GB internal memory plus 8GB pre-installed SD card
- Android 2.2
- 3 profiles to switch between (sort of like Sense UI themes)
- 3G hotspot
- Flash 10.1
Anyone devastated about the Droid 2 Global being pushed back to the 29th?
