Check Your T-Mobile SD Card Contents, Hidden Stuff to be Found Including ADB Drivers

It’s a funny thing. When I was trying to get my T-Mobile myTouch4G to connect to my PC using ADB, I found a thread on XDA stating that the drivers for ADB can actually be found on the SD card that came with the phone.  Lo and behold, there they, are along with a few other surprises.

The Driver is located in a self extracting executable file called “HTCDriver.exe“.  You can run this file directly from the SD card or copy the file to your desktop computer so you have it for future use if required.

There is also a file called “USB Tethering Read Me.txt” with instructions for tethering as shown below:

Also found on the SD card are:

Qik PC Client.exe“:  This will open up the Qik PC Client site for Qik-In-Touch ( http://qik.com/intouch )

Twonky.exe“: This will open up the information page for the T-Mobile Screen Share application provided by Twony ( http://www.twonky.com/T-mobile/ )

Multimedia Sync by doubleTwist.exe“: Installs the client software for doubleTwist allowing you to sync your computer media with your phone.

Not exactly the best free stuff you can find on your SD card, but some little surprises just the same.
