CES is just around the corner, only 8 days to go. For those of you that aren’t familiar with CES, it is the single largest Consumer Electronics Show in the world and is held in Las Vegas, Nevada once a year. This is the event where we will all see the latest and greatest technologies by over 3000 companies from around the world on an estimated show floor of 1.5 million square feet. It is the event that we all look forward to each year.
We’re expecting Motorola to show off its Android Honeycomb tablet during this event, and we’ll be getting a good look at that while we are there. What we are unsure of right now is what Samsung and T-Mobile have up their sleeves.
A current rumor floating around about Samsung is a Galaxy Tab 2 and potentially a Galaxy S2 unveiling, which would be amazing to see. Samsung has dominated the market lately with their Galaxy S line of devices and if they can bring either of these two rumored devices to CES it will keep them on the competitive edge. They should both be showing the speed and power of the Nvidia Tegra 2 chips and what the future could hold for dual-core phones.
Will they make a test unit in time to showcase at this event? I am not sure. If they can I am sure they will. If not then Mobile World Conference is in February, and maybe they can aim to show it off there.
No matter what happens, stay tuned to AndroidStory. There will be five of us attending the event this year and we’ll be bringing you all the information we can about all things Android.
