The original CLIQ by Motorola was fairly popular when it first launched. The MOTOBLUR software was a great idea and definitely was one of the major selling points. At the time of its release it didn’t have anything more than a G1. Which I think was one if its downfalls. Not to mention MOTOBLUR was not ready for such limited hardware. Some would say it was one of T-Mobiles greatest Android failure devices ever sold. I would put it right up there next to the Samsung Behold 2.
No matter how you feel about the original device, T-Mobile and Motorola teamed up again and made a number two. The hardware specs on the device have been upped and the MOTOBLUR has been re-added. I can honestly say when I saw this device coming I had a little chuckle inside.
If you are wanting to pick this device up, T-Mobile.com currently has the CLIQ 2 priced at $99.99 with a new contract. You could also pick up the CLIQ XT for $89.99, also sort of funny in my book.
Our friends over at Wirefly have gone ahead done a great little video look at this device for us. If you were ever wondering what this device looked liked, here it is.
