What an uber fail from Motorola. We just received a tip that linked us to the Motorola support forums that stated the following:
“After comprehensive testing of the Android 2.1 upgrade for the CLIQ XT, we have concluded that this device will remain on Android 1.5. We realize many of you were anxiously awaiting this upgrade, but we aim to deliver software upgrades only when it will provide a better customer  experience.”
I really hope Motorola has something up their sleeves to fix this issue in a timely manner, especially for damage control for their handset users. We will keep a close eye on this story and update when we get more information. Thanks, Tadd.
