We’ve had the luxury of playing with this new Verizon branded phone, and managed to grab a few pictures of it in the process. Although we got some recent hands on time there was no mention of when it would be landing on shelves. It was thought that Samsung’s new device might beat the Thunderbolt to release and be Verizon’s first LTE device to launch, however the thunderbolt seemed to inch by here just recently.
A new snap shot sheds some new light on the all but released device, and according to the information it’s not only releasing soon, but it’s also coming out bearing the “Droid” name. We learned before via our tipster that the battery life was more than adequate when compared to the power draining decimation of the Thunderbolt, despite the fact they both share large screens. The Droid Stealth will debut with the same hardware that was leaked so many times:
- 4.3 Super AMOLED Plus display
- 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor with 518MB RAM
- Dual-cameras; 8MP rear and 1.3MP front
- LTE/CDMA
This device isn’t one of the more anticipated devices rolling out but is definitely worth taking a look at. You get the sharp, crisp clarity of the new LED display, the blazing fast speed of Verizon’s new LTE, and better battery life than the current LTE device.
According to the information in picture you should be able to pick-up your Stealth April 7th, with pre-orders starting at Costco March 24th. Unfortunately no pricing has been release yet but you can expect it to be competitive if not cheaper than the Thunderbolt.
