It seems the tablet the that some how got lost amidst Flyers, XOOMs, and other various slates is starting to become more known. We’ve already seen the Asus Eee Pad Transformer priced at Best Buy and Amazon, which revealed that this tab was not only a major contender in the tablet market but was also surprisingly affordable. Up until yesterday no page seemed to be sticking for the Transformer. Everytime we got a glimpse of it on a website the page was taken down, although it doesn’t list availability or confirmed pricing, ASUS has finally put up their official product page for the notebook-like tablet.
Among the information discussed on the site, ASUS has listed some of the software that would be coming preloaded on the Transformer come launch day. As previously seen, it does say that the Transformer will be launching with ASUS’ Waveshare UI, although previous thoughts were that Google would make them remove it before launch. Of course what use is a tablet, especially one as innovative as this one, without some professionalism. That’s where Polaris Office 3.0 comes in which will allow users to view and edit .doc, .xls. and .ppf files. Although the UI and office software are cool, the MyCloud service is perhaps the coolest. ASUS will be offering free unlimited cloud access for streaming and uploading files, allowing for media sharing on-the-go.
With the current route being taken by the Transformer expect to see big numbers come launch day. Previously shadowed by competitors this tablet has become a force to be reckoned with, and it’s sudden increase in popularity only seems to be growing.
